"We'll keep walking a bit then." There were benches every couple of blocks and if she wanted to sit later on they could. Maybe he would be able to get her up on the boardwalk and play some games later too. Blaze slid his hand from around her waist and grabbed her hand, interlocking their fingers.

Shea slipped out of her shoes and headed east.
" So do you come here often? " Shea asked trying to keep the conversation alive. The sun had just begun to set.

Damon nodded, walking along with her. "I do. My home is on the beach."

Lyna smiled shyly with a slight blush. "This is nice."

"Yeah, it is." Again, Blaze rubbed his thumb over the back of Lyna's hand for a few minutes before he spoke again.

"Are you up for any games or rides?" he glanced up to the boardwalk then back to Lyna.

Shea smiled wide in admiration.
" Wow! I've always wanted to live on the beach! " She spoke childishly. While she walked absentmindedly not noticing the path sloping downward till it was too late and she begun to fall to into the ocean.

Lyna stared for a moment at the boardwalk before answering. "Sure."

It was an easy movement for Damon to catch Shea and let her regain her balance.

As his arm wrapped carefully around her securing Shea to the ground, a rosy blush over came her. With a shy laugh, " oh...I'm s-orry. I'm just so damn clumsy at times. "
The strength his arms held was remarkable, and his movements were abnormally quick. Shea had suddenly gotten a dreadful feeling. Like Alice as she fell down the rabbit hole. [img][/img]

Damon frowned inwardly at the emotions he felt from her. However, he kept his expression calm. "Its alright."

" Ah, um yes of course." Shea stood and straightened her skirt while her mind raced. As if she was trying to remember something with great difficulty. Something about the way he moved, he grace and perfect features.
And for the first time in her life, Shea felt courageous, "How did you do that? "

Blaze smiled as they walked - the next set of steps were just ahead and he stepped to the side to let Lyna walk up the steps first. He was right behind her and when they reached the top, he took her hand once again.

"Are there any particular games that you are good at?"

Shea was startled by his reply but none the less answered.
"I believe that people exist, just in various forms. " She stopped to peer up at him. His height was just a magnificent as the rest of him.

"But what if the world was populated by more than just human people?"

Now that really stopped Shea in her tracks. Afraid her 'gift' was exposed Shea thought carefully before answering.
" W-wha-t do y-you mea-n-n? " Shea crossed her arms in around her mid-drift as her head tilted towards her suddenly interesting feet.

Damon could sense her fear, but it did not seem directed toward him. Which made him wonder what she was afraid of. "That perhaps I am not normal. That I am... different. But you have no reason to be afraid. I am harmless, I promise." It was not entirely true. But he meant no harm to her.

Shea was nearly relieved as his reply.
" I have no fear that you'll hurt me. I don't think anyone can. " Her voice wasn't fearful but inquisitive.
She didn't speak but looked over at him, the questions swimming in her eyes.

Damon was curious now. She did smell different, but not that different. "Do you believe in vampires?" Normally outing himself was not something Damon did. However, she was different as well, so maybe she would not react badly.

" V-vam-pires! " The shock and studder in her voice was evidence that she did not know what to think.
" As in the creatures in all those romance stories? T-that drink bl-o-od..." She swollowed carefully, her hand circling her neck now as every sterotypical vampire tale filled her head.

"Sort of... Do not be afraid. I would never hurt you."

" But you don't know me! " Shea countered. How could a stranger even one she felt so keen with, claim he could never hurt her. It was than Shea got flash backs of her ex-husband, subconsciously Shea rubbed her shoulder where the scar still remained.
She wasn't afraid so much as unsure.

"That does not matter. I would never hurt an innocent woman." Damon kept his voice calm and soothing. "I never have."

Shea felt as if her grip on reality was slipping. Spiraling out of her grasp as the possibility of vampires, werewolves, the boogeyman are actually real. Were there people out there like her? Was she truly special or gifted like she as been telling herself all these years?

" What are you telling me? " Shea asked

"That I am one." His voice was calm and matter of fact. There was the chance she would freak out and run, and he would probably let her. No one ever believes anyone who shouts vampire without proof. She might even chalk it up to him being crazy.
