Welcome To The Beach

Blaze wasn't sure if his smile warranted the call to end the night - or if it was actually really that late.

He looked around and noticed the few people straggling behind, he assumed that it was because it was way past the witching hour.

"As much fun as I've had, I think that maybe that's a good idea." He stood and grabbed the giant penguin with one hand and outstretched his free hand to Lyna.

"I just think we should each get home before the sun wakes up." It was not that late yet, but Lyna could see herself staying out that late.

She took his offered hand.

With his free hand Blaze couldn't help but run his finger down her cheek at her statement - it was innocent and well.. kinda hot.

"One day we need to take in the moment when the sun wakes up...together." He pulled there linked hands together and kissed the tops of her lightly before walking back to the car.

Along with all stuffed critters in tow.

Lyna lightly blushed and softly smiled at Blaze as they walked.

Blaze hoped that he hadn't made Lyna uncomfortable, that was not his intention.

The walk to the car wasn't that far, and before he knew it they were there. It took Blaze only a second to open the door and offer the passenger seat to Lyna.

"After you, of course." He knew that the penguin would ride in the back seat, but only after Lyna was in the passenger seat, buckled and and ready to go.

"Thank you." Lyna smiled up at him from her seat in the car before he moved to put the penguin in as well.

Making sure that she was secure, Blaze shut the door and tapped the hood as he rounded the front of the car - it was just something that he did.

Once he had himself in the driver's seat he glanced over to Lyna. "Ready for a little speed?" He wouldn't take her for a joy-ride unless she gave the okay.

There was a moment of consideration. Lyna knew Blaze raced cars. And she trusted him.

"Yea." She nodded as confidently as possible.

He sensed her apprehension, so he wouldn't push the need for speed that much. Just a bit of reactive driving to make her smile.

It was a bit exciting. A little like a scary movie. Lyna smiled when she glanced over to look at Blaze. He seemed to really enjoy driving.

Only if this car wasn't stick - Blaze would have reached over and grabbed her hand to hold...

Then with a second thought, he grinned and reached over and placed her hand on the five speed shifter. "Lyna, when I tell you when and what gear to go into, give it a whirl..."

Blaze left his hand on top of hers while his mind decided to downshift since they were coming into town.
