"I don't mind grocery shopping." Tristan smiled. Truthfully, he just wanted to spend time with her. Didn't matter how. "Moving is always an adventure."

I still have to put some more work hours in at the shop, even now that Sage is back and resting, I'll still be able to work more. She put her empty cup on top of her plate and smiled. Wow, a guy that doesn't mind grocery shopping? You are different, aren't you?

"I've been grocery shopping for myself for years. Plus the company will be better this time around."

She suddenly realized that her last statement could have been taken completely out of context. I didn't mean to offend you with the different line. It's just that I've never met anyone like you. Of course Bryn's blushed deepened and she felt her blood pressure rise about ten degrees.

She looked down at the table, lightly tracing a pattern with her finger for a moment before she returned her gaze to him. I will definitely enjoy the company too.

Tristan shook his head. "I didn't take offense. It wouldn't be the first time I've been called different. But I know you mean it in a good way."

Bryn nodded once. Yes, in a good way. She gathered up the two little bags that she had before she smile. Ready whenever you are.

Tristan tidied up the things from the table then stopped to stand beside Bryn. "Ready."

Kale and Riley reached the cafe in no time, while only in second gear. Kale did love his cars one of the perks of this new age I suppose.
Once again he opened the door for Riley and breathed in the scent of a crisp night.

Rye had pulled her hair up into a ponytail so it wouldn't blow all over the place as they headed to the cafe. They really were there in no time, Riley smiled to him as he opened the door. Thank you, kind sir.

She looked around to see if she could peg any vamps in the area, but at the moment there was only one - Kale.

Kale picked this place since he knew Riley would feel more comfortable with humans around. Also their cheesecake was to die for. As they walked in Kale noted the two others here this late at night, one was a fairly old man sipping coffee and one red haired waitress. Kale moved toward a booth seat and sat down browsing the menu.

Rye slid into the booth seat across from Kale. Is this place open twenty-four/seven? Pulling a menu, she looked it over but nothing appealed to her, so she would order up a coffee with cream and sugar.

" Yeah, only during the week though. See anything you like? " Kale said as he waved the waitress over. When Riley said a coffee with sugars and cream would do just fine Kale ordered Irish coffee with cream only and a pie of their cheesecake. The red haired waitress took the orders and grabbed the menus. Kale couldnt help but notice how she continued to glance at him. Then he really got a look at her. At least in her late thirties, she had long red hair that was lose around her face, her face was soft pink scattered were tiny brown freckles. Her figure went with the rest of her, petite yet feminine. She was attractive Kale admitted but not his type.

Rye looked curiously at him. Aren't you going to "pay" for eating that cheesecake later? She air quoted pay because in all of her years, she had never seen a vamp able eat food. She had met vamps that could drink other things on occasion, but never eat. It also didn't go unnoticed that he was checking out the waitress, that made her snicker.

Kale understood what Riley was trying to say. " Well it's try later I can get sick but only small bits at a time won't hurt too much now, plus one bit of this cheesecake and you will understand it all." Kale said as their beverages arrived.

Rye nodded to the waitress when she placed the coffee down in front of her then turned her attention back to Kale. Wow too think a piece of cheesecake is worth it. She wrinkled her nose a bit and smiled. She wasn't a big fan of the dessert. So when are you going to tell Rose about your new house?

" I figured I'd pick her up one evening and pull up there ask her what she thinks and hopefully the inside would be decorated to her liking and BAM surprise. " Kale laughed at the image he pictured. Rose stunned and overwhelmed she'd probably cry from the sheer joy.
" Unless of course there is a better way to present this to her? " Kale asked curious what Riley's mischievous mind would plan.

Riley nodded and laughed when he stated his idea. Taking a sip of her coffee, she thought for a moment. You could always do a treasure hunt, give he a map and leave clues around the city - starting with her bookstore and ending with the house? Rye thought maybe it was a childish idea, but it could be fun and interesting.

Kale laughed hard. The idea of sending Rose on a trip excited while amused him greatly. " Rose would get so flustered but it does seem to be a good idea. How about dinner when we're all moved in. You are more than welcome to come for helping as well as your friend you mentioned earlier with the gallery."
Kale finished his coffee before he realized it and was ordering refills a second later.

Riley didn't get a chance to say 'no' before the perky waitress was refilling her mug. Growling playfully just a bit, she turned her attention to Kale. I think I could manage a dinner at a vamp's house...well and his sister's place too.

She drummed her fingers on the table for a moment as she thought. You can always put The Perfect Pint on the treasure map. I'm sure there are several other places that you could map out too.

Well she didn't have to seem so happy about the invitation, Kale thought to himself.
" Rose can handle her brother being a vamp but a bar full of them? I don't know. Which reminds me, I'm not sure I told you yet but I did manage to repress some of the brutal memories of that..night" Kale was cut off as his teeth involuntarily grind together at the thought.

She remembered Kale telling her how him and Rose became family, she shuddered at the thought. Reaching out lightly touch his hand, Rye smiled at him. What if I bring Anthony? He's one of the good guys, maybe to show her that not all vamps are bad? Plus he's a vegetarian...

Kale smiled at the sincerity coming from Riley, her normal tough girl act hid the sweet and attractive girl benenth.
" I'm not sure that I have met Anthony. Perhaps if Rose were to see that not all of my kind are bad than it shall help her adjust. This Anthony, would he mind escorting Rose home on evening? I can give her the heads up the night I reveal our new home. Possible Anthony could lead her home to a nice store bought dinner? " Kale mentioned, in hopes this Anthony character could help his sister but he must pass Kale's trust test and many have failed.

He's been up at The Guild and then off helping one of his friends, so I'm pretty sure that you haven't met him. Rye giggled a bit, it sounded like Kale was trying to set his sister up with Anthony, but she knew that's not what he meant. All I'd have to do was ask him, A' loves helping people and he's damn right good at protecting them too.

Pulling her sleeve up she exposed her wrist to Kale for a moment before she placed her pointer and middle finger over the almost-invisible-to-human-but-not-to-vamps bite marks. These are Anthony's, even in his newbie days, he was gentle. His sire left him to fend for himself and that's how I met him. Rye glanced up to Kale, knowing that she had a faraway look in her eyes since she was recalling her first encounter with the vamp who looked so lost, but had come a long way.

Kale was semi shocked with Riley's newest reveal of secrets but accepted it as he would a great treasure.
" I trust that any friend of yours will be gentle....except of course those you don't want to be I bet. " Kale said with a little of hissmoothness he acquired over the centuries.

Rye chuckled. Yeah, I like the rough and tumble occasionally - well more than occasionally, but that is on a need to know basis, pal. She shook her head, Kale seemed to have the vamp coolness down - as he should at his age.

A' is the only newbie that I've worked with that I still kept in contact with. You know he could've been a rogue, - the bitch left him the night she turned him - but even at six months old when I met him he could have been a lot worse than he was. It was quite evident that Riley was not fond of Oriana at all, even though they never met. How Fyn sired such a bitch, she would never figure out.
