Sage's Oasis

Lyna smiled. "You're probably right. But you could be underestimating me."

Marina got up to get a drink, while talking to Sage. "I'm free whenever."

Blaze did a few 'high karate' moves and laughed. So you a black belt or something? Settling a bit, he smiled. I would never underestimate you.

I know you have the gallery, so maybe one night after it closes, or maybe a Saturday. That would be the best times. Sage let out a small shudder as the chill hit her.

Lyna laughed at Blaze's display. "The closest I've came to karate is yoga."

"I don't have to be there 24/7, so anytime you pick will be fine." Marina noticed the shudder. "You alright?"

Blaze chuckled again. No yoga for me. I could really see myself getting into some of those positions.

Sage nodded. I'm fine, just got a little chill that's all. Rubbing her arms, she continued on. When I get into the shop tomorrow, I'll see what my calendar holds - but I'm sure it's pretty clear - and pick a date then. Hopefully I can round up a few more people.

Lyna softly laughed. "Its not for everyone. But I like it."

Marina nodded. "Alright, sounds good."

Blaze nodded in agreement. I'll stick with racing or even hiking. He glanced over her plate and drink. You need anything else?

Falling quiet for a few minutes, Sage thought about what she needed to get. She turned to Marina and smiled. Could you do me a favor? If you are out and about, could you pick up some mason jars? I think I only have a few left.

Lyna shook her head. "No, I'm fine."

Marina nodded. "Of course. How many do you think you'll end up needing?"

Blaze got up, taking his plate with him. He was finished for the moment. Grabbing himself another drink, he leaned on the railing and looked over the woods. So you like the woods or the beach better?


I would think a case of pint jars would be enough. That way there would be enough left over for people to make more than one candle. I don't anticipate a huge turnout. And Sage was okay with that.

Lyna considered for a moment before responding. "The woods. I like the beach, but something about being literally surrounded by nature is simply amazing."

Marina smiled. "A case it is then."

He smiled his crooked grin and looked at Lyna. I dig the woods for that reason, but I also like the ocean for it's openness. Everything can go on for infinity. Or so it seemed.


Sage nodded a bit. Thanks, I appreciate it.

Lyna nodded. "You never seem to meet the horizon."

Marina smiled. "You're welcome. Its no problem."

Blaze nodded thoughtfully. You're right. Makes you think that anything is possible.

Stifling a yawn, Sage looked around. It had been a long day for her, but she would hang for as long as she could. Are there any particular scents that you would like to use?

Lyna smiled. "Exactly."

Marina tilted her head slightly. "I think fall scents would be good." She paused. "If you want to wrap the get-together up, I won't mind."

Blaze nodded once again. Maybe after the movies and dinner, if it's not to late, we could always take a walk on the beach.

Sage shook her head slightly. Fall scents would be good.I'll start making a list when I get to the shop. She smiled at Marina.I'm not used to so much activity, I'll be alright for a little bit longer. But thank you.

Lyna smiled. "I would like that. Very much."

Marina nodded. "Just remember, when you get too tired, tell me."

Blaze glanced at his watch, then back to Lyna. How's Saturday sound? That way it could give us a plenty of time to do what we wanted.

Sage reached out and lightly touched Marina's arm. Thank you, and you know, I just may take you up on that. I think I'm going to head off to bed. I'm sorry for being a party pooper.

Lyna nodded. "Sounds good to me." She smiled at Blaze.

"You're not being a party pooper. You're tired." Marina glanced around. "I'll even tidy up before a leave so you don't have to."

Blaze gave a sharp nod in agreement. Things looked like they were panning out. I'll pick you up about...2 o'clock?

Sage stood up and waved her hand dismissively. You will do no such thing, Blaze can get what's left. But please take whatever you want. It'll just go to waste here. Leaning over to Marina, Sage gave her a hug. Thank you for coming, I was a great night.

Lyna nodded with a small smile. "Alright." She spoke in agreement.

Marina smiled. "If you insist." She hugged Sage back. "Of course I came. I had a great time." She stood up, considering collecting some food. After all, Sage was right. There was too much for even two people to eat before it spoiled.

Blaze glanced over to Marina and Sage for a moment and smiled. He turned his attention back to Lyna. It's a date then.

Sage walked into the kitchen and gathered up some plasticware only to return to the porch. Laying it on the corner of the table, Sage smiled. Help yourself and thanks again. She turned and walked over to Blaze and Lyna and smiled, quickly giving each of them a hug. Lyna, thanks for coming, it was great to see you again.

Blaze, would you mind cleaning up, I'm heading off to bed. She smiled when he nodded to her. Thanks. Sage gently patted the side of his face.

Marina nodded then smiled at Sage. "Thank you for doing all this." She gestured around. "Goodnight."

Lyna smiled at Blaze. She returned Sage's hug. "It was great to see you too."

Sage nodded and smiled. 'Night. She gave a small wave as she walked into the house. She felt a bit guilty about leaving the party, but her body was screaming for sleep. Changing quickly and quietly, Sage slipped into bed and fell asleep the moment her head hit the pillow.

Blaze watched Sage head off to bed, and he then started cleaning up what was left. She was a trooper tonight. I half expected her to be in bed a few hours ago. He started placing the veggies in a ziploc bag.

Marina waved after Sage then turned to Blaze and Lyna. "I think I'm going to head off too." She walked inside the cabin to collect a few things then headed back outside to the porch. She hugged Lyna then Blaze. "I hope to see you soon Blaze. I know I'll see you soon Lyna." She smiled.

Lyna nodded at Blaze's statement. "That's good though right?" She hugged Marina back then nodded with a smile. "Of course."

Blaze smiled when Lyna hugged him. He lightly placed a kiss on her cheek. You'll see me soon, we have a date remember?

He stepped back over to the table and started finishing up. It sure is, soon she'll be back to her old self. He nodded to his own statement. Marina, I got this, but the both of you take what you want, there's plenty.

Both of the women laughed; however, Marina was the one to speak first. "I said that Blaze, not her. Do we sound that much alike?" Her tone was light and teasing. She wrapped an arm around Lyna, peeking around her.



Lyna just shook her head at Marina's teasing. However, she did smile, finding it rather funny.
