Welcome To The Boardwalk

Morrigan nodded and smiled. What if you and your brother team up and start some kind of charitable organization together? She had only briefly mentioned her brother before, he wasn't real sure of what their relationship was.

Scarlett smiled. "That sounds like him. Maybe eventually..."

Morrigan grinned at Scarlett, he wasn't sure if he had touched on a topic that was sensitive, but he continued on. Have you seen your brother lately?

Scarlett shook her head. "Its been a long time."

He reached out and placed his hand over hers. So what are you waiting for? Is he in the area? Maybe you two should get together for dinner or something.

"He is. He moved back out here before I did." Scarlett sighed. "We just keep putting it off."

Reaching into his pocket he pulled out his phone and placed it in the middle of the table. Well, there is no time like the present. He smiled as he tapped the phone lightly. He wouldn't be offended if she didn't want to call him, but he would make the offer.

"I have my own phone." Scarlett spoke in return. "I promise to call him when I get home. Okay?"

Morrigan nodded as he slipped the phone back into his pocket. Okay. He didn't realize how quickly he was getting full, so he finished up the last little bit on his plate before smiling to Scarlett. After dinner would you like to take a walk down on the boards?

"Sure." Scarlett nodded with a smile. He seemed to be done eating and she just wanted a few more bites as well.

As Scarlett continued to eat, Morrigan paid the check as he smiled to her in return. Is everything okay? Did I upset you asking about your brother? He leaned back in his chair, resting his hands together on the edge of the table.

"Its alright. I get lost in thought when I think about him sometimes." Scarlett eventually did want to talk about her brother's differences.

Morrigan nodded slightly trying to understand the sibling dynamics. He was an only child, so he had no idea what it was like. It seems like you miss him then.

"Of course I do. He's my brother."

Maybe it was best to venture from the topic of her brother, so he thought for a moment and smiled. Are you into country fairs?

"They look fun. But I don't think I have ever been to one."

Whenever you're ready, I'll take you to the local one about 5 miles from here. He smiled to her.

Scarlett sipped on her drink, finishing it off. "I'm ready to go when you are."

Morrigan smiled to her as he stood up. Your chariot awaits. Holding out his arm and after she accepted, they walked to him car and headed towards the edge of town.

Scarlett sat quietly in the car, occasionally glancing over to watch Morrigan.

Kale wrote:Kale drove smoothly as Riley hung on tight. He thought of the perfect place to take her. Heading towards the boardwalk ( hint hint ) Kale let the wind in his face relax him.

Rye watched the desert turn into the streets of downtown and then watched the sun setting over the ocean. "What's for dinner?" It seemed as though Kale had his sites set on a certain restaurant.

" I know of this great steak house along here, somewhere " Kale said as he guided Riley towards a brick building.
" It may be after hours however that owner owes me. A lot.- Ah here it is. " The building let out an aroma that had Kale's mouth watering. Which was not the normal for him, usually his liquid diet supplemented him enough to the point solid food was incapable for him to eat.
" I hope your in the mood for steak" Kale said before heading towards the back of the building where a door labeled exit was propped open by a man in black slacks and a white t-shirt.
" Well Mr. Novak you arrive as ever exactly on time. Your usual seat sir? "
Kale took Riley's hand " You ready?"

Rye couldn't wipe the shit-eating grin off her face as she let Kale lead her towards the restaurant. "Oh yeah, I'm hungry. You're buying, most definitely." Nodding to the gentlemen at the door, she followed Kale towards the booth that was in the corner.

" But of course milady. " He glanced at her. " And where would you hide a wallet in that outfit? " Again his voice was jokingly but also approvingly.
As they sat down, menus were placed in front of them

Rye gave herself the once over. "Hey, it isn't that tight, and I do have pockets, thank you!" She giggled as a menu was handed to her.

Viewing the menu, it didn't take her long to settle on what she was going to get. "So are you really going to eat?" The concept of a Vamp eating human food was just a weird notion to her.
