* That's a scary Picture!!!*

" Yeah well, this book is worth more than my life" Aislyn said as she got up next to Rune. " What's the book say about them? "

Aislyn rubbed her eyes wearly.

"Well I know this much, they are nearly indestructible, but there is always sometime to take them out." However she wouldn't worry about that to much right now. "It seems that if the Wendigo represented famine and was a creature created out of myth of the Native Americans - mainly the northern tribes." She shivered a little bit at the next thought. "They used the creature to deter cannibalism."

Rune glanced to Aislyn and shrugged. "This one must have a different purpose."

" Oh is that all....very uh comforting there Rune." Aislyn joked. " So what we going to do? Something bad is coming I can feel it. "

She repositioned herself on the chair to get more comfy. The day's events were really starting to get to her.

Rune could tell that Aislyn was getting tired. "Let me sift through the books and you try to take a nap, okay." She would do what she could to find anything to ward off the Wendigo, although a few blood spells it might not be too hard.

"I'll figure something out." With that, Rune sat down on the chair and pulled her legs up underneath her with the Grimore laying across her lap. "Sleep peacefully, sister."

Rune was right, Aislyn did need a nap in a major way. Curling up with a close pillow, she did just that. In the back of her mind Aislyn prayed for a restful nap.

but of course that was too much to ask for isn't it. Since her 'gift' or 'curse' is always strong when she sleeps Aislyn was assaulted with memories of her past and flashes of possibilities the future held. Many of those consisted of Amaia smiling. Which was probably not a good thing.

However this eve, Aislyn actually saw something useful for herself. The image of her mother standing over a book in a familiar place plagued Aislyn. Her mother wore stress with grace upon her golden face. In the distant a fight could be heard. For unknown origins tears sprung to Aislyn's eyes. A strong feeling of depression filled her, as well as fear. Her mother flipped through the book with urgency and stopped suddenly at a page. A whisper slipped from her plump lips,

" Amaia, I will stop you this time." Her eyes scanned the page before closing. A dagger in one hand and an earring with bits of flesh still clinging to it was held in the other. The room begame eerily still as Aislyn's mother recited powerful and ancient words.

"Αμαια, βορν οφ ευιλ ανδ κυρσεδ ωιθ δισαστερ, ἑαρ μυ ωορδς ανδ φεελ θειρ ποωερ!
Βυ τἑ βλοοδ οφ μυ βλοοδ υου ενδ ωιλλ κομε αβουτ. Ωιθ θις ηοινινγ οφ ευιλ ανδ γοοδ! Ι σεαλ υουρ φατε," ( Amaia, born of evil and cursed ōith disaster, hear my words and feel their power!
By the blood of my blood your end will come about. With this joining of evil and good! I seal your fate, And MINE!)

Power glowed around her with a brilliant gold light surrounding her. She joined her hands with a flash of blinding white light, blinding the curse.
"Ανδ ΜΙΝΕ!"
The last words were spoke with a sense of sadness as tears filled Aislyn's eyes, they filled in her mother's as well.

All too soon, the vision faded, and Aislyn drifted off into a deep slumber.

Rune watched over Aislyn for a bit, watching the tears roll down her cheeks, she wondered what she was dreaming of. Sighing a little sigh, Rune returned to the books at hand before she felt her own lids become heavy with the call of sleep.

"Maybe just a minute or so..." Rune slid the book back and rested her arms and head on the table. It took her a second to fall into a deep slumber. She had dreams but danced at the corners of her mind, just out of her reach. She saw glimpses of a dark haired woman, a dark haired man and oddly enough - her father. "Daddy?" She mumbled his name he was gone, and she slid deeper into sleep.

Aislyn startled awake by a loud bang, jumped to her feet and prepared a blasting spell. As she looked around the silent and un-moving room suggested the origins was not here. Slowly she made her way throughout the house, searching every room but stopped when she saw the grimore laying open on the floor. Disarming, Aislyn walked and kneed next to the room and examined the page.

To summon a Spirit
To create an incense portal for summoning the ancestor spirits from the otherworld, you will need an altar complete with pictures and items to honor them. In a strongly protected circle, place lavender, cinnamon, and wormwood on the coals.

''Blood of my blood, you spirits of love,
Come from below and from above;
Entities loving who wish me well,
Come to this circle when I sound the bell. ''

(ring) a bell three times and welcome the spirits. Afterwards, ring the bell seven times to send them back through the portal so you can close your circle.

Aislyn read through the spell quickly when she got struck with a vision, that knocked her on her ass.

The first bang stirred Rune from her sleep but not enough to wake completely up. It was the second softer thud that got her up. Stretching as if she had been sleeping all night, Rune looked around to see that Aislyn was missing yet again.

"Aislyn...." She hurried from room to room only to come across her curled up on the floor with one of the smaller grimores.

"Aislyn?" Rune at this point was pretty sure that she was in another one of her spells, trances - whatever she called it, so Rune sat down next to her and waited for it to pass.

As soon as the vision came, it disappeared. The images Aislyn caught hardly made sense. As she came to, Rune was hovering nearby looking worried.

" Oh yeah! " Aislyn said her voice as weary as she felt. Acting energetic as a child Aislyn stood up and dusted herself.
" So did you ever try this spell? " She wondered, a particular spirit she'd love to summon.

Rune smiled at Aislyn's burst of energy and looked to the spell in question. Shaking her head, Rune looked at Aislyn. "Can't say that I have. Who are you looking to summon?"

Taking the book from her hands, Rune walked back into the kitchen and placed it on the table next to the other Grimoires.

"Well there is this one woman I saw in a few visions, and she has never stirred me wrong so far. "

Aislyn was positive that the summoning could prove very helpful, or at least shed some light on who the woman was.

" It cant hurt any, can it? Besides its not like she'll be here in person right ? "

"Do you know who the woman is?" That would be one part of the spell that she would kinda have to know. It's hard to summon someone - beit in ghostly form - if the name isn't known.

"I don't think it could hurt, let's just make sure that there aren't any nasty energies attached to whomever it is you want to call."

Rune slowly started to pull down some of the herbs that were listed in the spell.

Aislym read off the ingrediants before responding

" Well I think she is related to me or knows my mother." Aislyn paused, insure how to explain huntch. " I can't explain it. I just know."

Aislyn whispered as she watched Rune move through the room with ease and familiarity.

Placing all of the appropriate herbs and tinctures on the table, Rune pulled out the large abalone shell to put the mixture into. She wasn't familiar with the spell, so she figured that she would let Aislyn take the lead on this.

Plus she thought it would be good for the woman to get used to the magick that she held within herself.

Sliding the shell and herbs over to Aislyn, Rune smiled. "Why not try it, I have a feeling that it'll work better if you cast the spell since you know what you are looking for." Rune would join in when she was needed.

Aislyn smiled brightly before moving to stand in front of the table. Nervious as she was, it almost seemed to come naurally as she mixed the indregiants together. At first a puff of smoke erupted giving off an odd odor reminding Aislyn of sweet peppers and honey.
As she slowly recited the words to open a divine circle, it was as if the air thinned as the magic filled the room. Once the spell was repeated three times, Aislyn held her breath in anticipation. What happened next was exactly as Aislyn hoped it would.

A womans figure appeared, with a face of an angel she wore all white with raven hair streaked with grey.

And just like a horrible nightmare, the womans face was transformed into horror and sadness. Her pale pink lips moved repeating the same thing over and over as her eyes teared up.
Her voice grew louder as the spell strengtened.

" You should not have done this." Her voice was thick with worry and misery.

Before Aislyn could speak, the room light up with explosive light. Any eerie slince fell ver the house as she openned her eyes.

Standing before her was not the woman. But the ugly demon from the hotel. And he was not happy

Rune watched taking into account everything that Aislyn was doing, and she was doing all to a 'T' - except for the pronunciation of one single word. And with that a flash of light happened and the demon from the hotel stood on the table between them.

With a flick of her hand, Rune hoped that the pages of the Grimore would turn to the correct page. "Aislyn, the binding spell."

Grabbing the ancient family 'broom' that stood in the corner, Rune lit it on fire. And with a sweeping motion, she moved quick about the table creating a circle of smoke around the demon. "By hill and wind,By flame and brook, By shining Moon and sea,I place you bond within this book! This I will - so mote it be!"

She started in on a second round of chanting, hoping that Aislyn would pick up on the spell and go with it.
