Apartments and Condos

Blaze picked up on her hesitation and as always she was a gentleman. "I promise I will do my best not to step on your toes." He placed one hand on his back and held her other up at shoulder height.


(You know, like they did in the old days...)

"I hope so." Lyna smiled, letting him lead her.

Blaze twirled her around the furniture before stopping in front of the entertainment center. "Don't you think some music might be good?" He smiled to her before letting her go.

"Might be." Lyna considered between the TV and the small stereo before clicking the latter on. "You can pick."

"Oh no... you pick." He smiled to her and waited a beat before zipping through the stations to pick something. Sounds pumped out of the speakers, loud enough to break the silence.

He held his hand out towards Lyna again, it seemed he hit he jackpot with slow songs at the moment.

Lyna smiled at him as they once again began dancing. After the first song, somewhere during the second one, her head came to rest against his shoulder.

He grinned and did his best not to step on her toes - he wasn't the best dancer to begin with but this was fun. When he felt her hand on his shoulder Blaze reached up and wrapped his hand around hers as his other hand rested on her lower back.

The third song came to a close, Blaze couldn't resist the urge to 'dip' Lyna. He leaned her back, taking care to support her and he laughed a little before bringing her back up to stand.

Lyna giggled at her dipping her.

Blaze released her as a fast song started. "Okay so we went to dinner, went dancing...now what?" He smiled to Lyna as he leaned on the back of the couch.

"Umm..." Lyna trailed off. She was unsure of what they could do. "Do you like the beach?"

Blaze chuckled; "Yes I like the beach like the fish likes the water."

"We could drive down to the beach. Its beautiful at night."

"Sounds like a plan." Blaze smiled and pulled the keys from his pocket and grinned. "Don't I owe you some driving lessons? You still want to learn how to drive a stick shift?" He dangled the keys from his index finger as he looked to Lyna.

Lyna laughed a little bit. "I'm not sure you want to teach me." She was being honest. Not really teasing.

Blaze furrowed his brows in curiosity. "Why wouldn't you want me to teach you?"

"I didn't mean it like that. I meant... The one time I tried to drive stick, it was a disaster. Are you sure you want to teach me?" Lyna was quiet for a moment. "I want you to. I just want to make sure you want to." She was unsure if it made much sense.

He took a step closer to her and smiled. "If I didn't want to teach you, I wouldn't have offered." Blaze was pretty patient when it came to teaching people how to drive a manual car. Some picked it up almost instantly, others it took a while - he was confident that Lyna would pick it up in no time.

"I think you'll do fine. My car has a low shift ratio." He raised his eyebrows, wondering if Lyna even knew what that meant.

Lyna nodded, absorbing that he meant what he said.

She tried to figure out what that was for a moment. "Already lost..."

Blaze chuckled a little. "What that means is that you have to start shifting at about ten miles an hour - the car will let you know when it needs to be shifted into a higher gear."

"Whenever you want to leave, I'm ready." He threw his keys up in the air and caught them in the opposite hand. "I'll drive us out of here, I know the perfect spot where I can teach you. But if you just want to walk on the beach, we can do the driving lessons another night."

Lyna nodded at his explanation. When he seemed ready to go, she picked up her bag. "Either is fine."

It seemed that she would rather go to the beach, so Blaze would hold the driving lessons for another time. "Let's go enjoy the beach and when we have more time, we'll work on driving... "

In one hand he held his keys and the other he motioned towards her. "Lets go beach comb."
