Apartments and Condos

Lyna softly laughed at his exclamation. "I'm not very picky."

Narrowing his eyes playfully, Blaze moved from the kitchen into the living room. "You're not a closet blood and gore kinda chick are you?"

Really he would watch anything well except maybe for "The Sound of Music."

"No, not me." Lyna shook her head. "I don't mind them, but I don't love them."

She pulled out the popcorn popper before dumping some kernels in. While the air began to heat, she got out the butter and salt, plus two bowls.

"Is there anything I can do to help?" Blaze watched the first couple of kernels start to pop before he gazed back at Lyna. "How about you pick the movie and I'll pick the next one?"

"It pretty much does most of the work itself." Lyna considered for a moment. "What about Sweet Home Alabama?" She liked romance movies, but figured picking one with comedy as well would be better.

Blaze nodded in agreement about the movie choice. "That works." Since Lyna seemed to have everything under control with the popcorn, Blaze wandered around the living room and looked at some of the art work she had hanging about.

"Any of these pieces Marina's?" He took a sip of his drink as he looked at one painting in particular.

Once the popcorn was done, Lyna dumped it into two bowls. One she left plain; the other she mixed in melted butter and salt. With the bowls in hand, she walked into the living room. Once she knew what he wanted to drink, she would go back.



"Two. She gave me one as a gift, the other I bought."

Blaze looked between the paintings and wondered for a moment.

"Let me guess... This one you picked out" and he turned to the other "and this one she gave you." The first one was very earth tone based - simple and the second was uh - floral-ish...

The smell of popcorn broke is haphazard gaze at the paintings. "Be still my beating heart - salty buttered popcorn." He couldn't help but smile at her hospitality and motioned to the couch. "Come on, let's get the movie started." Blaze sat down with his popcorn and drink waiting for Lyna to sit sortakinda close to him. He didn't want to be overbearing.

"You guessed right." Lyna smiled at Blaze. "I like them both though."

She softly laughed at his statement about the popcorn. When he sat down, she sat down a few inches from him, close but not too close.

Blaze placed his bowl of popcorn on the table along with his drink and grinned as the opening credits rolled. "Mom knows one of the prop hands that worked on this movie... to this day I still can't seem to find his name anywhere in the opening or closing credits..."

The moment that came out of his mouth, Blaze felt like a complete and utter idiot so he shoved a handful of popcorn in his mouth.

Lyna smiled, resisting the urge to giggle. She did not comment on it.

Blaze's grin spread as he watched Lyna try and stifle her giggle. He washed down the mouthful of popcorn and shook his head.

"Sometimes things just come flying out of my mouth." He settled back into the couch and smiled at Lyna.

"Don't worry. Happens to everyone." Lyna smiled over at him for a moment.

Blaze nodded and turned his attention to the movie for a bit, nibbling on popcorn as well. He glanced over at Lyna out of the corner of his eye, he smiled as he watched her.

At some point during the movie, Lyna quietly commented on it. "I like this movie, but I don't understand her. She tried to completely change who she was."

Blaze shrugged lightly. "Maybe she thought moving away would change who she really was - guess it didn't work..." He leaned forward and placed the popcorn bowl on the coffee table before leaning back against the couch, he shifted a little bit, crossing his legs (leaving his ankle to rest atop his knee) and stretched his arm out over the back of the couch. Lyna was far enough away where Blaze thought that she wouldn't assume that it was 'a move'.

But he wasn't opposed to the idea of Lyna leaning up against him, if she wanted to, at any point.

"Maybe... That never really works though." Lyna watched the screen for a moment. "It did not work for her."

Blaze looked at the TV and 'mmhmmed' in agreement. "It seems that things come around full circle. She'll end up where she's supposed to." He took the last sip of his drink and rested back on the couch.

"She did end up where she was supposed to be." Lyna nodded in agreement.

Blaze looked over to Lyna and grinned. "Yup, she did. I'm not so sure that I would be brave enough to dance in the sand during a thunderstorm."

"I've heard its fun. But I doubt I would either."

Blaze turned a bit towards Lyna. "So what is your idea of fun or crazy fun like the beach in a thunderstorm thing?" He jerked his thumb towards the TV as the ending credits started to roll.

"I like to dance." Lyna knew she was not exciting or crazy.

Blaze quirked his eyebrow. "Oh really???" He stood up and held out his hand towards her. "Would you like to dance now?" Yeah, he even thru in a slight bow, grinning all the while.

Lyna was a little hesitant, but she did take his hand with a smile.
