Wooded area barely separated from the Hunting Grounds

Marina walked along the path between the trees in silence. Fresh air had been wanted. Yes, it would have been smarter to wonder the grounds around her home. Or even to walk the beach. But something about the woods was calming to her at the moment. She of course knew it was not the brightest idea. For a young woman to be walking out here, especially later in the day. However, she had avoided the hunting grounds. It wasn't that she did not care for safety, Marina just didn't worry. Life was too short not to enjoy oneself.

Miles couldn't believe he lost track of Alec. The damn vamp's scent covered her a little too well he thought. None the less Miles retrieved a loss t shirt and jeans he left nearby just in case and found himself bumping into a young lady on a trail,
" Well Hello sweetheart, whats a pretty lady like you doing here alone?"

Marina was a little surprised when someone appeared right in front of her. She was used to it however. A result of living with vampires. "Fresh air. And calm." She paused for a moment. "Why are you out here?"

" Well looking for gals such as yourself of course " Miles said " However I was looking for a lady friend of mine..." He said and described Alec " But seeing as you are out here alone mind if I walk with you? I promise I'm not some serial killer. Just a lonely guy looking for some peace." Miles said and meaning every word. He did need some time to adjust to his rejection.

"I have not seen anyone out tonight. Aside from yourself." He seemed nice enough to her. Plus, if he had meant harm, he would have done something already. They were alone in the middle of the woods after all. So Marina nodded. "Sure. I don't mind the company."

Miles smiled. After tonight's event he could use some fresh air.
" By the way name's Miles and to whom do I owe the honor? " He asked as they began walking.

"Marina." She stated simply. "Was looking for your friend the only thing you came here for?" She assumed the woman was a friend, or maybe more.

" Not exactly. I came on business. But pleasure always comes first in my option. " Miles replied as he looked over Marina. She had soft features was actually quite cute.
" What brought you to these neck of the woods anyways? " Miles remember she mentioned it was calm but there had to be something else.

"Life's too short for it not to work that way." Marina smiled small.

"I live nearby. Or the house was nearby when I started walking." He was different. She could tell that much. But how he was different, was a mystery to her at the moment.

" Seems like the little lady needs to head home, I shall escort her in the best way possible. " Miles said as he tripped over a tree root intentionally hoping that small smile over hers would grow.
Although Miles grieved over Alec's response he knew she would accept him in time. Now she just needed to be alone.

"I should, but I'm not quite ready to yet. I'd just find myself wandering the beach." When he tripped, it was obvious he had done it on purpose. Which made her laugh for a moment before smiling.

" Ah so Marina from the castle far away finds the woods and beach relaxing, that is my kind of gal. " As he stoke, Miles caught the fishy scent of vampire on her. But he gathered by the fact she hasn't tried to kill him that it wasn't she herself the vampire. hmm interesting.

Marina smiled. She found his statement entertaining. Partly because of the way he stated it. While the rest had to do with the fact that he would have got it right, if castle had been estate.

Her expression turned curious. "What?"

" To be frank, your not a vampire are you? " Miles replied. Smiling as if he asked her the time

Marina had to laugh. "No, I'm not. Very human, actually." It occurred to her why he would ask. "I live with a few though. But its probably not what you think."

" Hey I don't judge a book by it's cover or rather a woman by her friends " To each their own was Miles motto.
" Wanna see something cool? Guaranteed to make you smile

Well at least he said friends. Most would have assumed she was a meal. And Marina was not.

She nodded, curious. "Sure."

" Oh..wait not allergic to cats are you? " Miles said as he stepped a few feet ahead in order to prepare.

"No..." Marina was even more curious, yet cautious as well.

Miles allowed his bones to stretch, his muscles expand and his inner beast roam free. The change was quicker this time but all the same liberating. It was like taking that first breath of fresh morning air. When the shift was complete Miles walked over to the grass and waited to see if Marina would come to pet him.
Since she was used to vamps maybe she wouldn't mind this show.

That was certainly different. And not what Marina expected. However, she was not scared. She knew a girl who was a loup garoux. Yes, cat and wolf were different, but...

When he stepped closer, she moved as well, getting close enough to pet the top of his head.

Miles let the pretty lady pet him awhile and began running in the woods. Hoping Marina would follow he ran at a humanly pace. He knew of this great relaxing spot Marina would melt over.

At first when he ran, Marina was confused. However his speed tipped her off. If he was running away, he could have ran faster. Carefully, she followed after him.

As Miles approached the springs he waited for Marina to join him before jumping right in and shifting. The water shielded his nakedness from her so shoe would feel awkward.
" Well what do you think? Relaxing enough for ya pretty lady? Or would you prefer your castle in far away land? "
