Leta started to walk a little and wobbled slightly on her paws. While she tried to make it, Leta knew that without feeding there wasn't a chance she would touch paw on the mountain land.

Is that an offer? Or are you just teasing, Leta jested before turning serious. Now that you mention it I am a bit on the hungry side.

Leta curled at the base of a nearby tree, shaking off the slight chill that cooled her body through the thick fur.

Drake froze in his tracks when he realized his implications of his offer. Leta had fed off of him at least two times in his recent memory, and really he wasn't aware of how many times of a blood exchange could possibly 'link' them.

He was kinda uneasy with that.

When he turned to look at her, she had rested up against the tree. Leta, please rest, I will bring you an appetizer of a rabbit or two and a main course of venison. Is that okay? He slinked over to her and licked her forehead before pulling back to look at her.

Leta gave a weak chuckle before replying,
Well aren't you a charmer. Do you treat all your dates like this?
Curled at the foot of the tree Leta waited patiently as darkness pulled at her. She tucked her head beneath a warm paw to hide her smile at Grayson's actions.

He shook his head at her. Damn right, bitch. you keep this up and you are going to get skunk for dinner. Stepping back, Drake looked at Leta, surveying her and her surroundings.

He couldn't not feed her. Give me 30 and I'll be back. With a nudge and a lick to Leta's snout, Drake took off like a shot into the darkness to try and find dinner for Leta.

Leta let the darkness consume her, swallowing all her pain away. Flashes of living underground, memories of her sheltered life flipped through the pages of her mind. One after another Leta envisioned her family and friends, her loved and dearest perish at her hand.
While the turmoil twisted and turned within her mind, physically Leta broke out in a feverish sweat. Whimpers unbeknownst to her, slipped out in a wail of pain.
Immediately her mind linked to Grayson seeking comfort.

Grayson stopped in his tracks when the mental switch clicked. Never had he had flashes of what she was thinking...this was different to say the least... He looked down to the ground and shook his head trying to clear the visions, and finally they disappeared.

Be back soon, Leta. He didn't want to her to know that he had seen things - he would let her know when they were back in human form.

It took him a bit, but he found a rather good size deer and drug it back to where Leta was curled up asleep. Hey, you...dinner's here. Drake sat back on his haunches and waited for her to wake.

Leta woke to the scent of prime male and well dinner. Soon she was hovering over the sacrificed deer, offering Drake the first bite, after all he did all the work.
The air lightened and the smell of daylight soon filled the fields. Even without her other senses, Leta knew morning would be coming.

Drake shook his head, knowing that she needed the nourishment more than himself. Go on, eat up, it'll get cold soon.

He made sure to keep his ears perked and his eyes focused so Leta could feed without having to worry - for now.

Emmett barreled between the trees toward the edge of the hunting grounds. Hearing someone else, he assumed it was one of his brothers until the scent reached him. Anthony.

He slowed to a jog before stopping.

Anthony hit the edge of the treeline and listened to Emmett make his way through the trees, and then suddenly stop. He had picked up A's scent.

Flanking to Emmett's left, Anthony grinned and held out his hand to shake. (Yes, Vamps didn't like shaking hands - but this was between two of them, so could it be that bad??) "Hey, Emmett..." He gave a small nod before continuing; "...It seems that Madame Morawena has requested our presence in her cottage." Watching Emmett, Anthony gave a minute shrug and caught a whiff nearby wildlife.

That in itself made him freeze in his tracks.

Emmett nodded. Something had to be wrong. The way M woke up, shooing him away to hunt then sending Anthony out to bring him back.

He picked up on the sudden tension. "I can stall Rabbit while you chase after that." The animal smell plus Anthony's tension said hunger to him.

Anthony licked his lips at the scent but shook his head. "Nah, I'm good." It was Emmett that needed food - the dark circles and red eyes were a giveaway.

"I'll run back and let her know you were in the midst of dinner. I'll try and get her something to eat and wait for your arrival." Anthony stepped back silently and pointed to the left - where the someone's dinner was standing. "Have at it, my friend."

Emmett nodded. "Tell her it won't be long." He normally enjoyed wrestling with his food. But he could catch his food, eat it, and be back at the cottage in a matter of minutes.

He ran toward the scent, quickly catching up with his dinner.

Leta roused at the smell of fresh nourishment. After devouring what she could, Leta nudged with her snout. Her senses sharpened and the link between them strenghtened allowing her to express gratitude.

' Thank you Gray, help yourself you worked for it '

A devilish grin spread across her face as Leta tested her legs with a much needed stretch. While her two legs would feel much better Leta knew they still had aways to go before their little hike was finished.

Drake watched as Leta rose and stretched. She was a lean mean machine.

"I am fine for now - at least until we get back to the Warehouse - I have plenty of nibbles there." Their trippy mind thing seemed to be getting stronger with each passing hour. It was so strange to him to be linked with someone other than his family members.

Are you sure we aren't related somehow? He shrugged his wolf shoulders and proceeded to sit down next to her, knowing that the last leg of their trek would be the most interesting - to say the least.

Leta laughed at Graysons remark before her mind began calculting how to get to his den. While her instincts are sharp, her unfamiliarity had Leta second guessing herself. Looking towafds Grayson, Leta asked, " And just how do we get to your den- wthout being followed?"

Her eyes never stopped scanning their surroundings prepared for anything.

Drake just shook his head. It seemed that she was always looking for danger, even when there wasn't any.

Leta, I think we are safe for now - my only concern is going to be us and once we hit town. We are either going to be naked or furry...

He moved to the top of the ridge and listened for anything - all he heard was just the normal woodland creatures.
