The Hollow
Tarin stood within the circle of salt, making sure that each of the quarters were called. That part of the ritual had become second nature - it was the actual spell casting that she still needed help with.
Sighing, Tarin wiped the stray hair off her glasses. "Come on - really it seemed my parents had more luck than me." Starting at the North, she called the Guardians once again and added the small protection spell at the end. She had managed to call them forth once before, so Tarin 'knew' the feeling of being watched over.
With a small plunk, Tarin plopped on the ground and looked to the sky. "Maybe tomorrow will be a better day. One more day closer to the end of Mercury Retrograde."
For the time being, Tarin closed her eyes and took in the whispers of the woods.
