Re: Welcome to the Library
soon the library came into view same as always. The grand stairway was older but the building was still magnification. When she entered a solemn feeling over came and the urge to now speak was present.

Re: Welcome to the Library
Every once and a while, Melissa just needed to slip away. While she adored the man who had appointed herself her foster father in a sense - an odd position given he was her boss - and she did care for her mother for all her quirks... sometimes she just wanted time to herself.
School had risen up and eaten at her life and extracurricular activities, in a manner that saddened her. But there was no way her mother would have allowed her to so much as visit the daycare she worked for during school holidays if she had reason to question the odd hours a full visit would entail.
So instead, she had submerged herself in books, as always.

Re: Welcome to the Library
Mac was in the 'older' section of the library - that being the historical section - he was trying to find some family history of his current client. As he stepped out from between the rows, a smile crept across his face.
He knew that familiar scent. It took Mac all but a second to silently come up behind Melissa. "Aye, there's my red-haired Lass."

Re: Welcome to the Library
Melissa started for a second at having been approached, then three seconds later had finished recognizing the voice and pet name.
"Mac!" Perhaps she had spoken a little too loudly for a library, but no one corrected her. Glanced her way maybe, but no tisking. This might have had something to do with the fact by the time anyone did look her way, she had thrown her arms around the man.
"It's been so long," she mumbled. "How have you been?"

Mac chuckled as Melissa threw her arms around him. He wrapped his arms around her in an immediate response.
"It has been." He kissed the top of her head and pulled back just a bit. "How have you been, luv?"

Re: Welcome to the Library
((sorry this took so long >_< took an impromptu trip to WA and forgot abouts it. #fail))
She blushed in response. "Busy, but I've missed you."
Tucking her hair behind her ears nervously, she chanced a glance up to his eyes to see his expression.

Re: Welcome to the Library
(no worries... )
Mac grinned as Melissa blushed; the ruddy tone bringing out her eyes. "I understand, Lass... We all get busy." Smiling warmly, Mac then tucked her hair behind her opposite ear, smiling when she looked up to him. "I always seem to find my ginger in the library."
He released her and pulled the chair out for her. He would sit once Melissa was seated comfortably.
