Due to her capabilities, Sera was targeted at a young age for a secret group. Much like a clan they brainwashed her and trained her as a killing machine. Her views of right and wrong were twisted and her morals shaped in their desire. Sera knew nothing other than training and punishment. Love and other attachment emotions were quickly drained from her.
As she matured and aged, she began to suspect about the outside world. When she was 16, Sera attempted to escape and succeeded. She wondered around the outside, and discovered things she never knew existed. She witnessed families and children playing, people walking without looking behind their back with every corner they rounded. And Sera even discovered love.
She literally ran into an alley where the screams of pain echoed and discovered a group surrounded around a boy. Instincts took over as Sera kicked their ass. The boy, still on the ground dirty and moaning did not move. As it turns out the boy was blind, and Sera felt his pain of not being able to see the world. They spent a few nights together before Sera was found by the clan. As she got older she often thought about the friend she made and eventually it became a habit for her to sneak out for a night and visit him.
On her 19th birthday, Sera meet up with Jonathan. They discussed for weeks of her actually escaping for good. But this time things were different. Sera was pregnant with his baby.
Unwilling to allow her child to be raised in her environment Sera planned for her final escape.
Little did she know a clansman followed her to their meeting spot. For weeks the clan had suspected an outside force was influencing Sera, but the extend was unknown.
The clansman targeted the boy and with a single shot he was taken care of.
After the first blow Sera didn't have time to register the shock. She ran and ran. Not once looking back.

While her heart ached with his loss, and her stomach swelled with his child Sera ran from the clan and adapted a new life.
