Apartments and Condos

Blaze nodded. "Bryn's a tough cookie, and it also seemed that a bystander came to the rescue - she helped clean it up in a snap."

"Well that's good, at least." Lyna nodded, rubbing her arm for a moment. If Blaze knew about vampires, the conversation of her faded scars would come up eventually.

Blaze watched Lyna as she rubbed her arms. As he took a closer look, he saw what seemed old bite marks? She didn't strike him as the freshie type. "Are they what I think they are?" He tilted his head towards her wrist as he watched her.

Lyna looked down at her wrist then nodded. "Yes..." She hoped that his discovery did not effect anything. "They're all over two years old."

Blaze furrowed his brows as he continued to look at the scars. "You just don't strike me as the type that would be a snack for vamps..." Finally looking up to her, he smiled reassuringly; "Did you do it for a long time?"

He wanted to make sure that she knew he wasn't freaked out by any of it.

"A friend dragged me to a club. I found out it was a vampire club. It was... fascinating. It was only a couple of months before I quit."

Blaze reached out for her hands and rubbed his thumb lightly over some of the scars. "I can say that I've wondered what it would be like...to be bitten..." His thoughts flashed back to a fleeting Sheridan as she left the cabin heading off for her fate/destiny/servitude and wondered 'what if'.

Looking up, Blaze smiled. "But I don't have the guts to go through with it." He released her hands only to slide his into his front pockets of his jeans.

"Its indescribable. But... not really worth it. Maybe if that person is someone you cared about, it might be."

Blaze nodded lightly in agreement. "I guess so..." Just about then the timer went off for the lasagna. "Ohh, looks like it time to put in the garlic bread while the lasagna rests." He pushed himself off the counter and opened the over.

"It smells good at least." He looked over his shoulder and grinned to Lyna.

"It does." Just the smell alone made her hungry. Lyna watched Blaze, wondering why he would want to bitten. But then again, she had been curious once too.

He pulled out the last of the garlic bread and left it on the stove top. "Ready to eat?" He looked to her and smiled. "Can I ask you something? If I'm outta line, just tell me - I maybe thick, but sometimes I can catch a clue."

Lyna nodded at his first question. At his second, she worried a little over what the question would be. "Okay, ask me."

Blaze just really wanted to know what the appeal of being bitten was all about. "Is there some kind of appeal from getting bit? I just don't see it, I mean I've been told it's more than anyone can imagine but I hate getting blood drawn for tests - wouldn't it feel something like that?"

He cut the lasagna and slipped a piece on each plate along with placing a couple of pieces of bread next to the pasta dish.

"Its..." Lyna blushed a little at the thought of explaining it. "I've heard that it can hurt if they want it to hurt. They can make the bite feel how ever they want it to. From pain to pleasure. You do feel the pain of the bite, but what comes after that makes up for it." She ducked her head. "I was told that if they're old enough, you don't feel pain at all. But that could be rumor."

Blaze grinned a bit when Lyna blushed, but quickly sobered as she continued on. "The whole living forever thing is just weird to me... But I guess I could see how some might like being bitten."

He sat down and smiled to her. "The only thing that I want to bite into now is this..." he pointed to the lasagna... "Would you like to join me?"

"Yes, I would." Lyna smiled, taking a bite of the lasagna. "Its good."

They ate together in relative silence, Blaze enjoying the company along with the food. "I'll do the dishes once we are all done - it's not right of me to make a mess and not clean it up."

He smiled to her before taking a bite out of the garlic bread.

"You don't have to. I don't mind cleaning up." Lyna smiled over at him.

"You have to let me help. My mother would tsk tsk me if I didn't help." Blaze laughed a little and took a sip of his drink.

"So what do you have planned for after dinner?" He was okay with doing whatever she wanted.

"Okay, since you insist." Lyna was quiet before shrugging. "I had not thought that far ahead."

Blaze placed his dirty dishes in the sink and turned on the spigot so they could soak a few minutes before he would wash them. "Maybe some dancing? Or a movie? Or maybe a cup of coffee somewhere?"

Lyna only really did one of those things. Movies. She did enjoy dancing; however, her shyness usually stopped her. And she rarely drank coffee. It did not taste good without the cream and sugar, and too much of either was bad for you.

"We could stay in and watch a movie?"

Blaze's lip curled up into a slight smile as he finished washing the last of the dishes. "A movie would be perfect... but the most important question is..." he paused and he dried his hands and folded the dishtowel... "do you have popcorn?"

Smiling fully, Blaze crossed his arms as he leaned against the counter and watched Lyna.

"Yes." Lyna smiled. "Do you want butter or salt for it?" She had a heated air popcorn maker, to at least make it slightly healthier.

"Both!" He laughed a little and took a sip of his drink. "What kind of movie are you in the mood for?"
